With the Foil Assist Cruise Mast AL, the motor pod is positioned lower on the mast, precisely 15cm above the fuselage. Despite this adjustment, it retains all the features of the Foil Assist Mast AL, including internally routed cables that ensure better glide and maneuverability, and a rigid, surf-inspired profile for precise control and instant responsiveness, minimizing drag for smoother and more efficient sessions.

Safety is paramount with the Foil Assist Cruise Mast AL; therefore, it comes with an optional propeller safety guard that attaches easily with three small screws to the motor. This feature is especially recommended for those new to foiling with electric propulsion. However, please keep in mind that using the safety guard increases energy consumption, resulting in more drag and reduced battery runtime. To counter this, we recommend pairing the mast with larger foil and board sizes.

Equipped with a powerful folding gear propeller, the propeller only opens and rotates when activated and automatically closes upon releasing the ring controller button, ensuring minimal drag and enhanced safety. If additional

torque is needed, the plastic propeller blades can be replaced with more robust and also sharper aluminum power propeller blades.

The placement of the receiver in the battery box on the harness ensures optimal signal transmission to and from the remote, providing reliable power throughout your session.

The batteries offer an average runtime of approximately 30 minutes, although actual ride time can vary based on skill level, weight, riding conditions, chosen speed, board and foil size.

Designed for complete modularity, the Foil Assist Cruise Mast AL allows for effortless swapping of motor and connector cables within the entire Assist mast range. Its fuselage adapter system is compatible with most major foil brands, including Duotone, F-One, Armstrong, Gong, Axis, Lift, North, Code, Sab, AFS, and KT. This compatibility grants you the freedom to utilize your preferred foils while reaping the benefits of the advanced Duotone Foil Assist technology. Additionally, the mast can be

attached to any mid-length foilboard featuring standard US foil tracks, enhancing its versatility.

To maximize battery runtime with your Foil Assist, we recommend using a front wing with a surface area of 900 cm2 or larger, along with a board that has a minimum volume of 35 L.

For beginners and schools, we particularly recommend combining the Foil Assist with the Midfish Air board. This setup also allows the battery box to be positioned on the tail of the board, offering an alternative to using the harness.

While the assist system may not offer the range or full integration of traditional eFoils, it is significantly smaller and lighter, enabling configurations that dedicated eFoils cannot achieve. Most importantly, you can run this assist setup using your existing boards and foils. To increase the ride time, we recommend purchasing an additional set of batteries.

eHarness Set: The Foil Assist is powered by two compact batteries housed in a waterproof box mounted on a lightweight eHarness (approx. 3.76 kg). This keeps your board free from extra weight and drag. With the batteries placed on your hips, the natural, fluid feel of foiling is preserved while still giving you full freedom of movement. The eHarness is buoyant and easy to remove. A cable runs neatly along the shorter board leash and connects the batteries to the eMast. The receiver integrated into the battery box ensures a stable and reliable connection between the remote and the motor throughout your entire session.

eRemote Watch Ring Set: The Foil Assist Remote - a waterproof smartwatch-style controller with a finger ring - keeps your hands free, making it easier to push up on the board, paddle, duck dive, carve or handle a wing. Activate the motor with a double-click on the + button, and control the speed by pressing and holding either the + or - button.

Battery Charger Set:The charger can fully charge both batteries in under one hour and also includes a discharge function that helps maintain long-term battery health.

Airtravel-friendly Battery Set: Depending on your skill level, setup and the conditions, the Foil Assist batteries provide 30 to 60 minutes of runtime per charge.

The Foil Assist Cruise Alloy Mast is designed for beginners and intermediate foilers, making it an excellent choice for those looking to get into the sport of foiling, as well as for schools. With a length of 80 cm, this mast is slightly shorter than the Foil Assist Mast AL, enhancing its suitability for novices while still performing well in swell, choppy waters and waves. WARNING: Due to safety reasons concerning the propeller, please do not use the assist masts with a pump board or a prone board that has a foil box position close to the tail.
